New Delhi, August 20 (ANI): Citing recommendations of the Planning Commission, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh disclosed that the government could set a target of 9 percent growth rate in the next five-year plan on Saturday. Singh said this while addressing members of the cabinet at a meeting in New Delhi, held to finalise the approach paper of the twelfth five-year plan prepared by the Planning Commission. However, Singh maintained that meeting the nine-percent target would require certain 'difficult' decisions, in a clear indication that the masses, already reeling under high prices amid financial uncertainty, could further expect more turbulent times ahead
